Klara Da Costa | Chairwoman
Cinema manager and curator of the film programme at the Ujazdowski Castle Center for Contemporary Art in Warsaw, film critic, graduate of Film and New Media Studies at the Institute of Audiovisual Arts of the Jagiellonian University and Ciências da Comunicação at the Universidade Autónoma in Lisbon, regularly publishes on the Obieg portal, author of a series of film and cultural video essays for the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, participant and collaborator of Polish and international festivals, creator and host of the educational and cinephile series OD-JAZD Film Club at U-jazdowski Cinema.
Ola Jankowska
Is a Polish writer and director, based in Berlin and working internationally. Her first feature fiction Anatomia (Poland, France) premiered in Venice 2021 as a part of Venice Days and screened at festivals around the world winning several prizes. Her first feature-length documentary I Was Here (UK, Denmark, Poland, Ireland), co-directed with Nathalie Biancheri, premiered at CPH:DOX 2019. Ola’s work was also exhibited at culture and art institutions such as Lincoln Center in New York, ICA in London or Polish National Gallery Zacheta. She teaches creative writing to screenwriting students at the Lodz Film School and holds a PhD title from the same university.
Maciej Kowalczyk
Graduated in film studies from Jagiellonian University. He specializes in Polish, Asian, but primarly in Hungarian cinema (including In Search of Identity — István Szabó’s Central European Trilogy). He is a co-author of the book “And the ship is sailing…. 30 Years of the Gdynia Film Festival”. In May 2017, together with several other film enthusiasts, he established Pełna Sala (the Full Room), a film-themed website, of which he is the editor-in-chief since 2018. For several years he has been a member of short films’ preselection team at Warsaw Film Festival.
